Story Summary (Very Long):

Roxas is a heir to his parents large company trying to act like an average teenager living in Twilight Town with his friends. Every day he heads to their 'Spot' to meet with his friends and one day, to find them late and leaves to look for them. He runs into Namine, noted as one of the strangest girls at his school.
He begins to see her more often, usually in front of the shops including an art store. These were short and meaningless meetings but somehow, Roxas begins to fall for Namine's awkward kindness even though he finds out that her father has her engaged to an old, but rich man. They begin to date still and they often go to Namine's large mansion. That day her fiance arrived home unexpectedly and took her away.
Roxas finds out the next day that Namine would be leaving that afternoon. He runs to the train station and sees a hallucination of Namine and begins to run faster to only find that the train had left five minutes ago.

Roxas returns home and wakes up to the horrible feeling Namine would never come back again. He goes back to his normal routine and finds himself constantly out of it. Roxas goes back to her mansion and sees a butler throwing out Namine's precious artworks. That night Roxas dreams of a wall of fire and himself falling away without anyone to grab him. He wakes up and finds himself empty and alone.
Roxas remembers how their first awkward meeting almost ended up in him crashing into her and how they began talking. She was the only one who could pull him out of the 'normal world'. Roxas lets out his frustration in losing Namine at the computer he had spent most of his time studying for his parents. He remembers their last meeting as he walks down an empty street. She had told him that because everything was decided for her, she wanted him to have as much fun as possible. The next day, Roxas goes out with his friends to fight in the Struggle Tournament. He promises Hayner they would be the ones in the final, but also remembers Namine's promise as she gets taken away, "We'll meet again. Someday soon, I promise!" Roxas would continue to breathe and learn to fall until Namine comes back then he'd be the one by her side forever.
